So what is The Frugivore Diet?

the frugivore diet is a fruit-based diet that best suits the human frugivores physiological requirements. this includes a living foods diet of mostly sweet and non-sweet fruits, leafy greens, some vegetables, nuts, seeds. if you would like to learn more about a humans basic anatomy in comparison to other frugivores and non-frugivorous animals then check out this comparative anatomy chart i revised. you can click on the picture for better quality.

here is a simple infographic i put together many years ago that still applies today. i would just replace pasta with yams when it comes to optimal back up food.

  • Day 12

Breakfast: 8 Banana smoothie with 2 cups peaches, 5 dates.

    Lunch: 2 lbs black grapes

Dinner: 6 cara cara oranges. Followed by  romaine, cucumber, cherry tomatoes with tahini dressing.

    Cronometer: 2414

I'm really annoyed with the quality of organic bananas here in NYC right now. They are ripening funny. Some start turning black before they get any brown spots and some are still green with brown spots. And they either have no flavor or there is a heavy medicine taste to them. I can't eat them outside of a smoothie because they taste like poison. Maybe they are being left out in the freezing cold too long during shipping? I purchased some non-organic to see if they are any better.

      • Picked up some of those nice fat organic bananas from Target today. Felt so weird buying fruit from a Target, haha.

        • Me too!😁 I only went because on New Years day Aldi was closed and I was running low. But I'll definitely go there now. They were perfect.

      • My experiment of non organic vs organic. They were both great and the organic took longer to spot. So grateful for everyone being super inspiring! I haven't been posting all food diary because mostly bananas, dates and tons of grapefruit and oranges. And an am smoothie with frozen berries or pineapple with bananas. Or my fave Freelees apple pie smoothie. Feel so good happy and energetic!😁

        • Apple pie smoothie?!!! Yum I need that!!!

    • I've noticed that too! I hate to give them my $ but I got a ton of nice organic at Target. They ripened to speckled perfection over a week and were delicious and perfect.

      • I will check out the Target near my work tomorrow. Thanks!

    • I just purchased organic bananas from a discount store, same, bruised and not sweet.  I think because the organic are in bags they throw them about?  But then my local has bagged bananas that are fine.  Should I say his name in here?  Begins D....   Anyways Anne Osborne said sweet fruit can still be depleted of minerals whereas D said the opposite.  Don't know, I would buy the best tasting bananas irrespective.

      • If bananas are not filled right out at the bottom, they haven't been left long enough on the tree and will never taste as good as they could have. Buy the big fat, well filled out ones and they will taste way better :D Never buy ones that are skinny and not filled out at the bottom...
