I did a search for this, and all of the topics are old and have been quiet for a while.

So, does anyone know of any 811/vegan friendly intentional communities?

My husband and I are wanting to build a sustainable house (probably cob) and are looking into purchasing some land to do it on. The problem there is, most unrestricted land that we can afford is too far from cities for us to be able to make enough money to survive. 

So I'm interested in learning some more about living in an intentional community. Most seem to not be vegan, though! (Surprisingly... why wouldn't you want to be vegan? I would think it would make things easier.)

I did see some old threads about it on here, but none that have been active recently.

I think the most difficult thing is that we do have two cats that we rescued and will not leave behind, so that means that some options will not work for us.

As long as we can bring them though, I am open to ideas!
