Anyone read it? If you read Jensen then this is a must. If you don't read Jensen then this is a good and somewhat fun (despite the sad sickening realities presented) way to be introduced to some of the things he is trying to make people understand.

  • Jensen rocks. Civilization can't come to and end until I own a good sized plot of land and can grow my own fruits an veggies :)

Sometimes I wonder if a complete collapse of civilization would be necessary, but then I realize that yes, it would be in order for the planet to heal itself. People are not going to simplify their lives without a reason to. While a sudden collapse would mean a huge loss of life (like people in hospitals), I can't help but agree that it would be for the best. It would be quite funny to see how people would react if suddenly they can't watch tv, text message all day long, or have their daily Starbucks fix. One thing that I simply cannot stand is when I'm out hiking and enjoying nature, and then suddenly I hear a somebody's cell phone ring. grrrrr I hate cell phones. I have one yes, but I think I could easily do without it. I heard people at work talking about getting their kids (around 10 or 12 years old) a cell phone for Christmas! This shit just enrages me. I was going to go to bed, but now I'm all worked up. I can't anyways though because the dude in the apartment next to me is playing his music too loud. Of course that wouldn't be possible without electricity. Down with civilization! Chad needs sleep!
    • Right! "Own" wasn't the correct term. I'd totally be willing to share as long as everybody that lived around me helped with the planting and picking of crops.
      • How about if you grow and they pick LOL
