Blurred Vision

Hi All, just a background  I tried raw vegan a couple of years ago, but I only gained weight as many do, so was frustrated and ate a cooked vegan for a couple a year or so, and gained more weight... at the start of this year  I tried juicing/ smoothies mix again with one meal  for a couple of weeks and I lost well on it.

I have two questions:

1- Anyone suffered from blurred visions reading vision only not far distance? this only started with I started juice/smoothie mix for breakfast and lunch ... btw the juice I use is my own freshly juiced fruits and veg, not bought juices.

I tried to look into this further, its scary on the web they say it could be diabetes/ hypoglycemia etc, but am feeling great apart from the annoying blurred vision and I need to do a lot of reading for my work.

One suggestion was dehydration, so am forcing loads of water now, I must admit some days I do forget to drink as I drink a lot of juice/smooothies through the day and a lot of herbal teas (mostly sage or fennel tea)

2- With regards to Raw till 4,  I know this is silly, but did anyone try to have the cooked meal at lunch time instead of dinner?  I feel I get so full at dinner time, and I may need the starch just before lunch/ at lunch as this is the time I go to the gym,  yesterday I went to a spin class and felt really exhausted my thighs really were burning and aching...

Thanks

  • Jacob is totally right about not eating fruits after cooked meals, for me this is totally legit! That's why I only eat cooked food for dinner, and TONS of fruits before for lunch. I can't believe you gain weight on a raw high carb diet! And you say "many do"... I find this hard to believe. What do people eat like 10,000 calories a day of pure dates and do zero exercise? When I was fully raw I lost too much weight, still can barely maintain my 120ish weight, sticking to a LEGIT high carb LOW FAT diet long term. As for the blurred vision I've never experienced this, I felt my vision was better on a clean vegan diet.

  • RT12 is fine. Don't eat fruit after cooked food though so if you eat cooked for lunch you have to eat cooked for supper. Try eating fruit after cooked and see who knows it might work for you, but if you get bad digestion you know why.

    Are you eating enough calories?

  • Oh just to correct myself above relating to what I blend and what I juice, I blend green leafy veg (spinach/kale/lettuce, parsley) and soft fruit (banana/strawberries + other berries/mangoes etc)  and I juice the hard fruit/ veggies like carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, pears, oranges etc etc... I found this way I do not get bloated at all and I lose weight as well...  blending everything really upset my digestion and gave me a pregnant tummy for months.
