  • I have a fun Christmas book on my website with loads of tips on how to stay raw and have a really great time at Christmas:http://www.therawmonkey.com/books-2/ Might be useful to you :) Have a lovely day, Esperanza xxx

    • Oh, just saw this is a really old discussion! Might be useful to someone anyhow ;)

  • I used to have Christmas Day with my first wife's family when I was single again (my first wife died of Ovarian Cancer).

Most of them are 'big' people and there would be way too much food. I was the only Vegetarian and health and fitness conscious person there.

My sister n law has become the de facto Matriach of the family. She's decided she doesn't like me so I never see her (which is a blessing really - she's nasty).

Anyway, now that I've remarried and we have children we just do our own thing which is so freeing ;-)

  • im going to eat fruit, nuts, and greens. thats how im going to survive. =)
  • I dream next year I plan ahead and take a vacation to somewhere tropical for Christmas.. The main and most annoying thing about Christmas for me is why do I feel like I have to buy presents. I have 2 children and I want them to have Christmas presents just like the many other kids and friends. I just wander if the day will come and not soon enough I must add; that their will be a day when the world stops buying presents for the holiday? It is environmentally destructive. A big social burden.
  • I plan ahead so I have what I need and I will include some favorite fruits to make it special. I'll make the dates/banana/persimmon pie for my breakfast (the family usually eats clemintines and raw nuts anyway for breakfast), buy lots of clemintines, some pineapple and organic rasp (if I can find them), make spiral zucchini for my salad for dinner.

    Plan and enjoy! Merry Christmas!
    • yep i know I have to bite my tongue though when my family are saying 'can't you have one day off your diet' and ' you could do with some meat'. I'm like nope :S
      • I sometimes say, I'm not bothering you about what you eat, so I'd appreciate it if you'd not bother me! LOL
  • yep thats what I plan on doing stocking up on lots of fruit esp grapes which I love. It is heavily snowing and freezing outside but I will remain tropical!
  • Surely you can buy something to add to your fridge? The fridge doesn't rule you, right? :)

I was going to have a salad for my Christmas dinner, similar to what I ate for my Thanksgiving Dinner. But this year I am going "all out". Today I pre-ordered my whole dinner from a friends raw vegan restaurant. And I'll probably pick up some raw vegan high-fat nut-dense pumpkin cheesecake from my local co-op. Doing it up with the fats this year yay-uhhhh :) Very non-811 LOL sorry guys!

Well I hope you find something good to eat! The meat in the fridge paints itself an UGLY picture in my head right now...
