    I also think it depends on the amounts. But indeed, I dont feel best when I do this combination. But I havent found out yet if it's really because of this combination or just because greens take longer to digest and arent as easily digested as mono fruit.
  • It might depend on the amounts...you could be fine with dates and one tomato, or tomatoes and just a few dates. The other week I ate a big date meal, and then ended up having dinner at my in-laws' and eating a bunch of their garden tomatoes (so tasty, hard to resist!). My tummy did not feel so good afterwards.

    But, like hannah said, I think the food combining thing does really come down to personal digestion. If the combination really appeals to you, try it out and just be aware of how you feel afterwards. It probably won't cause any permanent damage, just an evening of discomfort at the most. Then you'll know!
  • it's as bad as it feels. if you are functioning properly and dates+toms seems to upset that then i wouldn't do it, if you aren't functioning properly yet, i'd give it time not combining poorly and them start experimenting.
