I've seen two destructive groups of people in both real life and online. The first, is the classic climate change deniers. The second, completely accepts global climate change to the point of inaction. I'm not sure which is worse.

The latter, the Earth is doomed people who buy out are the ones I want to focus on. Any idea how to deal with them? I do know that "The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing" Edmund Burke. Note, this quote can easily be extended to good humans to stand by and do nothing.

  • Well, doing good things for the earth was always something to perceive as a good side effect.. for developing ourselves by building a sense of compassion and gratitude for what gives us opportunities. It's often in others' best interest to develop themselves, all that needs to be done is presenting the information from a different framework. One that they agree with. A bit of work with the tongue, though completely doable.

I admire what Durianrider does for the fact that the "side effects" come from what is intrinsic to our life purpose, which can never be done as optimally when we do not take care of ourselves. When we do, taking care of the planet is unavoidable. I think it's similar in terms of any other idea which people readily dismiss. Biophilia is an idea that's sadly not explored as much in terms of the win-win situation for people to clearly see the consequences of their actions. Perhaps you can be creative with it?
