Digestion time of avocado?

hi,

one question, about twice a week i eat some avocado in the evening (maybe half one). for how long do i have the fat in my blood?

i don´t want high blood sugar, if i eat a pineapple for breakfast then!

thank you very much,

  •  i´ve got to say, i never "crave" avocados" at all, i just eat them every now and then because i think i should after heavy weight training. i´ve always heard that you need a little amount of good fats to build muscle.

  • as far as I know it may take from at least 12 hours to 48, depending on a lot of factors.  But yes, since you're low fat i wouldn't worry too much if it happens once in a while, maybe have the sweet fruit later on in the day.
  • i know these problems very well! i always had problems with my digestion, that´s why i want the be careful about when i eat some avocado. already as a child i suffered from MASSIVE bloating and gas which is aleady unusual, because children usually can deal with a lot more in digestion than grown ups. my problems only got better if i did strict food combining.

i don´t know, if you´re fitness in sports does have anything to do with that. for sure things are getting better with improved nutrition overall.

  • Depends if your fit. Someone like me, I could eat avo and pineapple together and my body would pump it thru real quick.

Someone that needs to get fitter, well then they need to cut back on the fat and focus on eating so many fruit carbs that overt fats dont get a thought and the focus is just on carbing, sleeping and living with passion.

The fitter we are, the stronger our digestive muscles and system. The faster our lymph pumps fat thru. Getting fitter means fitter digestion as well.

  • you´re right bmoojeni, it takes about 2-3 hours to actually digest the avocado, but it stays much longer in your blood as we know, that´s what i was worrying about.

chris, thank you for your answer, so i´m not the only one who was wondering about that :)

apart from twice a week half an avocado, i´m not eating any fats!

i´ve had a spinach banana smoothie after weight training, and then later some pieces of avocado to get my proteins from spinach and a little fat for muscle building.  so that´s ok with some fruit tomorrow morning, thanks again!!!
