I drink 3-4L a day, excercise, sleep well, what's going on?!2- are we allowed greens? I've been having cos lettuce and baby spinach with my smoothies sometimes3- how important is organic? :/... I haven't found anywhere that even sells organic bananas let alone them not costing an arm and a leg! :( I've been just having regular bananas, I buy them really cheap coz they're almost overripe.4- I noticed today a really bad white coating on my tongue! My mouth feels really dry. Is that detox, or candida getting worse ?Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys

And I blended 5, and the taste was so bitter and bad I even sneezed! Then I added totally five bananas and some frozen mango, even some raw protein powder and carob but still couldn't hide that bitter taste.

Now my mouth is burning and tummy hurting (probably because of the food combining) and I just had to throw the whole smoothie away. I had no idea what else to put in there, and just the smell of it made me gag.

I feel bad about the bananas which I just wasted, also the oranges (but not so much;) and mangoes. This wasn't even the first time me throwing something I blended away, actually it was third within a week. Maybe I am just bad cook, even when I just throw things in a blender..

Have you ever had similar issues? I think I should just stick to the whole fruits and blend only nanas and dates.. Or buy them somewhere ready ;)

Hey fruit people!

A few years ago I made this post in the SF Bay Area forum, and a lot of people were interested. Now I think it's helpful to more folks. There's an A-MAZING grocery delivery startup that is expanding to major cities across the US!

It has been life changing for fruit munchers like me and my wife. Prices seem on par with most grocery stores, maybe a little markup. Here in the Bay Area, you can order items from Whole Foods, Safeway, Costco, Rainbow Grocery (our local vegetarian grocer), some other local stores, even Petco. You can select custom quantities, down to the individual banana! Seemingly reasonable delivery charges and low minimum orders! For instance, all orders over $35 only cost $4 to deliver within 2 HOURS! We decided to do the annual subscription ($100/year) for free delivery because we use it so much.

Here's my link: http://inst.cr/t/VqpyJq

Full disclosure - I get $10 if you sign up with my link, but you also get $10 and a free delivery to try it out.

We've definitely used this to simplify our banana rotation. When buying by the box and shopping less frequently, we didn't always eat bananas at the perfect spotty ripeness and/or ended up freezing some.

From what I can see, looks like they are in Seattle, Portland, SF, LA, Denver, Houston, Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, DC, Philly, NYC, Boston

Would love to know if this helps anyone!

Cheers!

Ryan

Since everyone around me is pretty critical about it, I thought I'd join this community. Tomorrow, I will be taking a trip to banana island for the first time. I'm not sure for how long yet... Any advice, feelings, stories about it? I would love to hear about anyone's experience!

P.S. Anyone from Montreal?

Hi everyone!

I am kind of freaking out... I bought a 40lb case of bananas on Friday and was so excited! I started banana island on Sunday, not really planning on it/not sure how long I really want to go. I really just wanted to try it for a few days and see what it feels like and what everyone is talking about with their own experiences.

So here is the problem... my 40lb case is ripe, nearly all of them. There are less since I ate about 15 sunday, and so far 11 today, but I do not know how I am going to eat the rest without them going beyond ripe. I have frozen alot already too.

Anyone else deal with too many ripe ones? I know a dumb problem, since we want all our fruit to be perfectly ripe, but there is a max right???
