Hello everyone! Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm trying out a HCLF vegan lifestyle, and I'm excited to start the journey, but I'm confused about a few things!

Firstly- Almond butter- yes or no? I usually have it on brown bread, which leads me to my next question- is brown bread good or not so much?

And pasta- I bought some gluten free pasta today, is that the best pasta I can be eating on this lifestyle?

I also eat granola and porridge (with almond milk), the granola has sugar added and the porridge sometimes does too, depending on what flavour I choose, any advice on this? Are these foods recommended or should I cut back? What's the deal with refined sugar- a no go or not as bad as people think?

Thank you to anyone who takes time out to give me some much needed guidance and advice! You have my utmost gratitude!

Robyn

Hey guys,

I have a couple questions and I'd like to get the point of view of some different individuals.

1. How important is it to have mono-meals?

2. How much water do you drink?

3. Is it bad to eat fruit late at night?

4. What is your fruit to veggie ratio on a daily basis?

5. If you are eating cooked carbs, is eating stuff like quinoa and millet ok? I try to avoid bread at all costs...

I would say that I'm 80% raw on average daily. I live on campus and have to use the meal plan so I end up eating cooked food sometimes. I also find it hard to avoid fat because I feel like there's so much hidden oil in things... Like tabouli salad! I could eat that ALL day but I feel like theres quite a bit of oil in there..

I'm feeling great. I'm coming to terms with my body and choosing health and happiness over skinny and so I think this is going very well.

anyways. any advice would be awesome! And any other tips would be great!

He knew the whole time that I was vegan - and even then I didn't eat bread. When I sent him links to explain my new 811-lfrv lifestyle, he gave a brainless response, which I hadn't expected from him, even though he's SAD (but was always open and tolerant of veganism).

His response: "What do you eat then??? Does that mean you don't eat bread????!!!!"

How would you respond to something like that? I want to be honest and let him know I find that response (the tone) rude and narrow-minded, even though I know he wouldn't attack me on purpose. But I don't want to create friction, especially because we've never fought.

I also want to/will nicely remind him that it also means I don't want him to send me nuts anymore. He's always sent me nuts for Christmas, which even then I ended up giving to friends instead (without telling him). At least he knew/respected that I don't consume salt.

He said he loves ALL the life on the earth so for him there is NO difference between eating a pig or a banana.

I said to him I know the difference if I step on the head of a pig or on a banana (this sentence from durianrider).

Oh yes? Proof me a banana does not feel something when you are eating it! Excuse me!? How the hell I can proof that nonsence? Even if I never can talk to that banana I KNOW it wants that I eat it! But how can I proof the banana does not feel anything?

Or when I tell him not to give bread to our little child (3 years) but he does not want to hear about it. In the morning I put as much fruit in that little girl (if she wants ofcourse) but when he gets up than it is breadparty.

Can anybody give me very good (scientific) evidence, information, … that bread is dead? To blow his mind out of his skull? So he has to believe me.
