Its nerve died and it was rotten inside. -That was pretty bad.

Being worried about it, I started taking more care and searched information that could help me prevent the same situation from happening again.

Today, 6 months later, another molar just cracked, looking pretty dark inside. I did my checkup 2 months ago and nothing was observed by the dentist.

From my understanding, this is coming from the inside. Although my teeth colour aren't white but they're yellow going towards brown.

I will be searching about it but, I would very much appreciate if someone knows a reliable source of information -whether is a direct person, website, book, etc. and is willing to share it.

****!

Hello friends,I was curious if anyone here has had amalgam fillings removed and successfully detoxed with this lifestyle of eating? I'm having mine removed soon and everyone on forums say you have to chelate in order to get the mercury out of the body that has accumulated. However, I smell a rat because all these people who chelate have horrible diets. The chemicals they say to use are really hard on the body. They use DMSA, DMSO to start and they load up on supplements because the DMSA and DMSO depletes their bodies of vitamins and minerals. Frankly the chelating scares me more than the fillings. What are all your thoughts?

My last was in 2011 and the dentist back then agreedthat my diet was healthy and that my teeth were remineralizing.

Today this is what my inferior incisive and molar teeth look like:

I rince my mouth after every meal and brush 1-2 times a day with a soft vegan brush and water.

This new dentist said that the dark yellow parts between the top of the tooth and the gum are the dentine (the underlying layer) showing because of advanced enamel erosion. That part is indeed sensitive to cold. She suggested I have it covered with resin composite and get tested for fluorine deficiency.

Has any of you had experience with this process or resin composite fillings? Is the material even safe? I found the following studies advocating that the biodegradation of the composite inside the mouth releases substances that could pose health issues:

I don't what to do. Should I go ahead and have the dentine cleaned and covered with resin, or simply focus on eating less dried fruit and hope it stabilizes or remineralizes?

Obviously, the dentist got very offended when I explained to her why dairy and toothpaste with glycerin are definitely not healthy options. And she argued it was the fruit and citrus that caused this.

Thanks for your help!

So she told me to start taking some ester-C, since that makes the vitamin C more available... I do not understand everything, which is exactly why i come here, because i know there are some very knowledgable people out here.

Does it make sense in anyway that someone like me - healthy young woman living HCRV would have a hard time absorbing vitamin C?

Even if there were still some toxins in the area where i had a root canal, how on earth would that mean i am not absorbing my C's at the moment? The thought distresses and annoys me.

She also told me i am also a little too acidic and she'd like to see me more alkaline. I also don't know if i should believe that, considering the diet i eat is not very acidic forming AT ALL.

Plus, i do ph urine tests on my self with ph strips and when i eat exaclty 80/10/10 those are always a perfect range for neutral ph around 7/7.5!

She said that your urine doesn't say much, yet i did a trial on myself last week, i ate perfect 80/10/10 all week, tested my urine every day, it was a great neutral ph level... then yesterday i ate some things like salt, corn cakes (like rice cakes but then made of corn) and some more nuts than i would when following 80/10/10 like i usually do, basically some things that i never eat and that i consider to be acid forming and not too healthy... and guess what? I did a test this morning and the ph strip turned out VERY acid... interesting!

If anyone got through this message and has any thoughts, i'd be very thankful to hear from you!

Love,

Apollonia.

My point is that I want to take the least compromiseable drugs to my body if any at all. What might help with swelling? Maybe I could use some concoction of clove oil and maybe other herbs and citrus topically to numb the gum during surgery? If I do end up taking pharmaceuticals, what should compounds should I try my best to avoid in the drugs during and post? Fluoride? Ephedrine?

What are rules of thumb?

This may be a little personal but I am going to share either way because A) I would like some feedback and B) Id like to share my experience.

Alright so I have been having a tooth problem for a while. I finally just got insurance to be able to get to the Dentist. I went there yesterday (on my birthday haha) and he prescribed me with Penicillin. Now I stopped taking any forms of medication, The only time within the past 3 months or so that I have taken any type of drug was when my tooth started to really hurt. I took 2 200mg of Ibuprofen 1 time. Before I started eating HCLF vegan this would not have even touched me, they made me feel a little spacey. My dentist prescribed me with 500mg pills that I have to take 4 times a day every 4 hours for 10 days. So 2000mg of Penicillin for 10 days. In the past I have never had any type of reaction or side effects with Penicillin and I don't believe today was an allergic reaction. I have not been eating how I want to eat the last like 2 days including today because there are not any ripe fruit that have enough calories to keep me going in my town so I have been eating a lot more Rice grains and potatoes than fruit.

I woke up at 6:30 am and took one 500mg pill. I ate a little bit of 10% whole Grain oats. I also just started my monthly menstruation today. (on a side note my last couple of menstruation have been painless and very light because of the LFHC vegan lifestyle)

I went to work and felt a little dizzy from the pills which is fine I could work through it. I took a 15 mintue break and ate some leftover rice from last night.

4 hours later I took my 2nd pill of 4. I ate a big plate of mixed fruit because my coworkers brought me a "cake" (fruit salad) for my birthday which btw was pure amazing and I am beyond thankful for it.

About a half hour to 45 mintues later I started feeling really weird. I was sweating like crazy and was getting really really hot and then randomly cold and back to hot again. this pain and uncomfortableness was a cycle for close to 45 minutes, I was getting excruciating menstrual cramps where I felt like my whole lower stomach was dipped in acid. I also, felt like I was going to Faint or vomit but my body would do nothing to relieve itself it just kept getting worst and worst to the point where I was laying on the floor in my assistant manger's office. I could not see clearly, talk through the pain or even stop shaking.it was so embarrassing. I called my boyfriend to come pick me up and at 1st he couldn't leave because he just started a new job today. My assistant manger came in and asked if I had insurance because she was going to call the Ambulance thank god my boyfriend called me back because he ended up getting me. As soon as he did I felt weak and worn out but not nearly as bad as I did 15 minutes before he got there. I feel a lot better now still crampy, hungry (no food and have no way of getting food because my car was left at work :/ ). I dont feel dizzy anymore and I dont feel like i am on the verge of vomiting or fainting just cramps like before i started eating HCLF vegan. Has anyone else had a case where they have been super sensitive to a medication prescribed to them?

I about to give in and use the high Fluoride toothpaste just out of desperation..

Please inform me on what you know about this predicament I am in.

Thank you!

His dentist said he "may" have to get a root canal, but his dentist drives crisp white Mecedes Benz and I don't trust him for a minute.

He's had multiple issues with his teeth and has always gone to this dentist. Iread that he can do a tooth extraction or bridge. Is it possible for him if he is already in pain?

Is there another alternative for him??

I just got back from the dentist and he says the sealant that I had put on 8 years ago is wearing off and I need another coat applied. Supposedly I have deep crevices in my teeth and it's hard to keep them completely clean with just a toothbrush and floss.

He wants to put another coat and I'm thinking I probably shouldn't let him do this. I researched it and the only negative thing I found is that some of the sealants have BPA in them. Even if the one he uses doesn't have BPA, it is still made of plastic and is just so unnatural it seems like it just can't be good.

He also said that I have a tiny pit in one of my teeth on the side of a filling and said he can clean that out before he puts the sealant and just put the sealant without having to fill it and it will be fine.

My other question would be, if I don't get the sealant or the filling, does anyone have experience with naturally getting rid of cavities? I know there are websites and posts about this. Just haven't had a chance to look into it yet.

Any help will be appreciated!

Much love!

So i've been hearing a lot about tooth issues and I know there are already a lot of posts out there but I would like to contribute. It's just a bad testimony to say you have all this crazy wild wonderful health if your teeth are rotting out of your head. This is for all my 80/10/10 buddies complete with pictures of my teeth at the bottom so you know I have them. LOL!

My EATING AND HYGIENE rules for teeth on the 80/10/10

EATING:

1. Eat fresh fruit like a damn meal because it is one.

That means 1 to 4 times a day only. You're not a cow. Stop grazing. I don't know how people do it. They eat like 3 bananas (300 calories) and still think it's time for more food in two hours. Just eat the 10 bananas you actually require in one sitting and give your tummy and mouth a break!

2. Another reason to EAT your greens. I'm sorry to say this but if you don't like greens you don't like having a mouth full of teeth!

You wanna keep those pearly whites. EAT your greens. Don't blend them! Chew the plant fiber! Greens make teeth white and strong. This is essential! Go for greens at lunch, especially at dinner and always with citrus! Greens and celery are the great neutralizer. After my sweet fruit meal in the morning I try to make sure I have greens with my next 2 meals. I also try to make sure greens are the last thing in my mouth at the completion of these meals. Also raw okra seems to soothe and balance my mouth so I eat it often.

3. Another reason to stop cheating: "You're teeth will rot out of you head!"

We're all guilty of it. For newbies, the body is trying to change with all this yummy raw goodness and it's already in a vulnerable state. Stop burdening it with the M&M's and late night cereal binges. Just eat more fruit.

4. Fast sometimes.

At least once a week give your mouth and body a break for a few hours or a day. Drink water and deal with the grumbling . . . your mouth will thank you.

HYGIENE

1. Brush 30 minutes after meals with a natural toothpaste and a good brush.

I like TOOTHSOAP but a lot of people find it drying. I think any natural paste will do as long as the mouth feels clean afterwards and not filmy. Also a flossing toothbrush works wonders.

2. Oil those gums. Finally, a USE for oil.

I do "oil pulling" with coconut oil everyone once in a while and I find it brings balance to the environment in my mouth. I also add gum joy oil to my tooth brush before i start brushing. I don't know, I condition my skin and my hair with oil and my gums seem to like it too.

3. Floss! Only the ones you want to keep. Especially before bed.

4. Get a WATERPIK!

The greatest most orgasmic adventure known to man. It's so soothing and almost addicting. And it's just water at high speed rushing through your teeth. Like Niagra Falls . . . for your mouth! Whoopee!!

5. Natural licorice tooth sticks. I have a picture of them below.

I love licorice and now I don't really have to give it up. Nature's greatest tooth cleansing tool. My Rasta friends swear by them. I use them because I like to gnaw on things, but I know they are responsible for my healthy gums white teeth. It's therapeutic. I gnaw down an end of the stick to the fibrous part and use the fibers as a toothbrush.

Photo 16.jpg

IMG00053.jpg

Hey all. I'm at a complete loss right now. I had a dentist appointment scheduled for 11 a.m. EST just to get a simple check-up since I haven't been there in about a year. I walk in and the dental hygienist brings me in and scrapes my teeth with metal rods (the usual). The initial cleaning took about 20 minutes. Afterward, she brought me into a different room and told me that the dentist would be in to see me in just a few minutes. When he finally gets in, he apologizes for making me wait and then asks me to open my mouth. He looks in for two seconds and lightly prods at my molars for another two seconds. Right then, he says, "I'm sorry, but you have 3 cavities. Schedule an appointment at the front desk and we will be able to fill them all in one day."Now, I've been eating high-raw for the past year and of that time a majority of it has been 100% 811. I know people claim that fruit can cause teeth problems, but I swish with water after meals and floss twice a day. I'm 20 years old and HAVE NEVER HAD A CAVITY BEFORE! My teeth do not hurt when I eat or anytime otherwise.I asked the woman at the desk what kind of fillings their office uses and she said they don't use amalgam. They use a white mold that the dentist forms to the shape of your tooth. But still, do you think this man is just out for money? Or should I just go through with the procedure since my insurance will pay for it anyway (and at least it's not amalgam)?
