Greetings everyone. I'm excited to share with everyone here in tourism my passion of bicycle touring. I've been a cyclist for over 15 years getting my start in BMX, MTB, Road, Bicycle Touring/ Bikepacking. I've traveled a great deal around the globe and always wanted to figure out a way how I can turn my passion into something that can offer value to people. I'm not here to drop a link, but I do encourage you all to PM me if you are interested in guided cycling tours in New York City. I have 4 tours as of now with one that is scenic and leaves NYC for an hour. Bike touring is such a great way to experience a place and it's people. I've been open for business for about 3 months now and received 2 bookings so far. I am working hard at getting more daily. My website is optimized for mobile and other devices for anyone to book anywhere. Anxious to share a link to my website so check it out here... Bike Tours by Manual Pedal where people can book a bike tour. Would love for you to share with friends and family who may be visiting the city here. Looking forward to hearing feedback.

I have major fitness goals, i enjoy training and the cycling lifestyle. The doctor is on vacation right now so i don't have intricate details on the type of murmur, but i wanted to know what this means for my fitness goals. Anyone with some real fitness and athletic experience have anything to say? How much could this hold me back?

I don't get chest pains as far as i can tell, I don't think i ever feel desperately or dangerously short of breath during rides or on cardio machines, but i do notice that i can rarely keep up with riders that are in their 50s. I've been cycling for 9 months to one year, beforehand i had no fitness or athletic background, i came from a very sedentary lifestyle.

When I was 13 I got into BMX riding heavy, and played many sports through Jr. high/ high school. During this time I've had bad asthma and needed to report to the school nurse to take my inhalation pump mid day. It sucked. I carried it through high school and put it down to begin working out and change my life when I graduated.

Fast forward a bit I picked up cycling in my early twenties. Maybe around 24 years old starting with track bikes. I would ride everywhere. I picked up road bikes when I was 27 years old and fell in love. I recently got blood work done and my doctor said I'm fine and that my oxygen levels are at 99% I wasn't sure what he meant but since I started cycling I haven't picked up an asthma pump. In fact I forgot to even mention that I had it at my visit. I'm wondering if I may have reversed my asthma due to my lifestyle of eating fruits and plants with included starches.

If anyone can shed some light here that would be helpful. I'm not sure if I should pay him another visit or not. I haven't had any issues with asthma for 12 years now and haven't used any medication at all. I believe this could have reversed due to my cycling and my running over the years.

I warned him that it would be vegan... And he agreed to it!Even though I'm half way through my nutrition diploma, I'm not confident on the raw till 4 plan for a large male who wants 1) to shred 2) to keep his gains and gain more muscle.I know what I eat is great for me and other females, who want to maintain, but I'm stuck when it comes to what he's asking for!He wants at least 160g protein a day! I said I wouldn't include that much, explained why... But ended up calculating that he'd be averaging about 100g a day anyway (as he wants to be eating 4-5000 cals a day)I also warned him that he'd be eating A LOT and he's cool with that ...So any tips guys?Keep in mind he's a tradesman and really knows nothing about nutrition let alone how to prepare vegan foods .... We need quick and easy! And I forgot to mention - he's currently restricting his carbs like crazy (under 200g per day)... And is worried about putting on fat eating more carbsAny tips would be much appreciated !!

Don't forget that I am not saying we should become vegans for the health reasons only as that is not about veganism. I designed them because I love colourful, positive, vegan messages to celebrate all things carbed up and fruity. They are bold, bright, positive and plant based! Organic cotton range for men and women. Would love to get your opinions on my designs. Hopefully this will be more than a cafepress store one day!

I have been working to increase my distance with running and it's been going well so far up until today. I couldn't run more than a mile due to a sudden sharp pain right below the stomach. I haven't had bad food combination, I'm properly hydrated, I didn't eat right before running, I keep my salt intake on average below the 1000mg recommendation (it was definitely below 1000mg today). I have also been regular with bathroom trips (3x a day). Any thoughts will be appreciated. :)

hey ya'll! just got thinking the other day about my experience so far with eating a high carb diet and began comparing it with smoking weed. I notice now that if i skip a meal or don't reach my required calories that i get REALLY grumpy and irritated REALLY fast, similar to a stoner going a day without weed. I suppose i have only made this observation because i'm paying more attention, but has anyone else noticed this?

On a slightly different topic...

My ex boyfriend was always very adamant that smoking weed regularly has no health risks. I have also seen so many articles on facey claiming that marijuana, if used correctly, can cure cancer. What are peoples' opinion's on this? Can anyone share their verified research? i would like to have some solid info to back myself up when people try to tell me this is true.

hiya i have started to up my calories after coming from a restrictive background, today i decided to take it upon myself to do a few mile bike ride and found myself getting out of breath when going up hills. will this begin to go away as i begin to build my fitness back up again?..after being stationary for a month the only movement i was doing was mucking out my horse occasionally when my mum was convinced i was well enough to!

i now just want to prove to my family i can now start exercising again without going back to my restrict past and also benefit the planet as well as my health...i have missed going out and moving i can see that it has really motivated me, but when i am back at school i can only really walk for 20mins a day and then on weekends muck out, ride and also go out for longer walks/bike rides, does this sound like a enough physical activity to start building me up again?
