My mom's been eating high carb, high raw vegan for nearly 3 years now, and her blood test results just came in saying she is high in cholesterol! How could this be?

She worried she's going to have a heart attack from high cholesterol, so she wants to cut out fruit from her diet because she heard that constant carbohydrate consumption can lead to elevated cholesterol meals!

Ahhh, what can I tell her? She looks, acts, and feels healthy, but these blood results have her worried to bits! She's really active, exercises everyday and goes for 50+ mile bike rides once a week.


One thing is: she has a low thyroid and takes medication to keep it a healthy level...a low thyroid also contributes to high cholesterol...

Anyone have any suggestions on how to naturally get thyroid to a healthy level and lower cholesterol?!
