but I  cannot find a specific digestion time for medjool dates.  I would like to know exact digestion time of the sugars in medjool dates.. its for correct hypoglycemia.  I need to know  the number of minutes exactly , its take to digest medjool dates  not soaked.  According what I experienced, it's around 1h15  not soaked.. but im not sure..  I would confirm ...

    Thank you :)

  • Can you clarify what information you are looking for, and why? (i.e. for diabetic reasons or whatever)  Generally fruit takes 20 minutes to digest in your stomach, whereas cooked food takes 2 hours.  If you're talking about how dates affect your blood sugar, they're actually a low-glycemic food:

One of the main reasons people avoid eating dates is the belief that they will raise their blood sugar levels, but studies have shown that belief to be erroneous. The May 28, 2011, issue of "Nutrition Journal" reports a study in which date consumption was tested on diabetics. The study shows that while dates contain high amounts of natural sugars, they are actually a low-glycemic index food and did not significantly raise blood sugar levels after they were eaten.
