They just taste better to me, when they start to get more ripe than that, they are too sweet and mushy for my liking!

  • similar to those in our logo is a good starting point

  • Yea, That's bad. It is not ripe enough yet at stage 4-5.  At the point where it starts to develop spots is when it's the best to eat.  I eat them at #7.  That's perfect.  If you eat them at 4-5 they can actually be more acidic and lead to constipation, digestion issues, Etc. It can have a negative effect on your health. I used to prefer them at 4-5 too but always wanted something with them to accommodate for the sugar loss. Because at that stage, the sugars have not developed yet. I would have to balance it out and eat it with something else like peanut butter, Etc.  to actually taste good. Learn to like them at 7.  That's when they are the best tasting and that's when they will have the best health benefits! I definitely know what you mean though.  I used to think I "liked" them at 4-5. Just if you have trouble, try and ween yourself into eating them at a later stage maybe. Like there's a stage between 4-5 and 6-7 where a few spots start to develop. Try eating those. Maybe they won't be as sweet, yet not to under ripe and then go for the 7 gradually working your way up. That's a truly ripe banana.(7)  If you follow that link and click the image next to it the banana all the way to the right is when I'm like :x That's too far gone to stomach. That's like when I say no and the banana is not edible anymore. haha sorry for the novel but. Long story short, The number 7 is a truly ripe banana and has the most health benefits. Look up on google, the health benefits of eating a ripe spotty banana opposed to a yellow one! :-) You will learn to like it as your body adapts. I was the same way and used to eat it with sugar or peanut butter or even on bread. and I know people that still like them that way but you adjust and fix your taste buds like I did. Try and make a banana smoothie take a few ripe bananas (like 3-4) throw them in a blender with some water and adjust it. Maybe dilute it so it's not too sugary. Hope that helped! Moral of the story though again. Spotty bananas=The best optimal health benefits and the easiest to digest. I hope this helped! Good luck. Bananas are great! Eat the spotty ones in a fruit salad too maybe.
