is 30 mins exercise a day ok?

So I'm stuck at a desk with both jobs and I don't have time time to exercise as much as I'd like. So is eating so many carbs and only getting literally 30 mins of walking a day in going to make me gain weight or develop a fatty liver?? :/Thank you!! :)

  • Unfortunately I live about 5hrs walk from the nearest store, my daily routine is as follows :)
Wake up, drink 1.5L of H2O ;) take my dogs for a walk for half hour.
Make my smoothie, (drink smoothie on the way) drive to work, take the whole 20 steps up to the office, sit at my desk for 4 hours, drink my lunch smoothie on my half hour break (I usually work on my break so I can leave early to make my other job). Work another 3 1/2hrs. Then descend the 20 steps to my car to go to my other job that is an hour away.

Once at my other job its pretty much the same thing just minus the stairs. So my days are usually 18 1/2hr days. When I get home I shower and crawl into bed for hopefully 5hrs.

I really dislike being a worker ant, I've gained sooo much weight sitting at desks, lack of exercise and the stress is overbearing my stomach has been having issues.
  • I went for a single 30 min walk each day for 6 or 7 months and lost just about 100lbs doing that ( I was also low carbing) but the point is with proper diet just 30 minutes of walking per day will do wonders.

I also have a desk job and have grown to despise it. i feel like its a death sentance to have to sit at a desk for a living its so unhealthy. i need something more physical and my desk job drives me nuts i always say work interferes with the exercise i'd prefer to be doing. if i had something physical i may not say that.

30 min keeps it simple tho. its an easy goal to shoot for and be consistent with.
