Large Belly after half year vegan problem

Hi guys,

I wasnt quite sure how to title my discussion/question so it sounds like I want to bullshit that the vegan diet sucks. I love sugars (mostly bananas) so much that I eat around 4000-4500 calories (HCLF vegan) and called much more early nights. I am raw till 4 so I always eat fruit until dinner which is 500g pasta or rice with vegetables. However my family is questioning it because my stomach muscle keeps expanding. THus, when I relax I look like a pregnant woman.

Any tips or explanations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

  • Does your stomach size retract after it has digested your meal?  And have you increased your exercise levels to match the amount of energy you're putting into your body?

    • Hi, my stomach slightly retracts after I digested the meal. I am a very enthusiastic about sports (mostly cycling and speed skating). I definitely train around 7 hours a week with cycling around 100-150km per week. Im really not sure how much is enough. Whats interesting that all other parts of my body, especially quads, are leaner and stronger.

      • If you are exercising as much as you say you are and following RT4 go get a checkup at the doctors see what they say get a blood test even :D. 4500 To 5000 cals is still a lot of volume for your stomach so it could be that there's just no room left in your stomach.

        • I totally understand that it will take years to recover the damage that I had done to my body. I dont think I will take blood tests that soon. Thank you for the tips! (I cant confirm that I lost or gained weight as I dont have a scale :D)

          • I'm not saying it will take years and I'm no doctor, But don't just assume that its metabolic damage when it could be something else. You and everyone else living this lifestyle do so for well being and good health so if somethings not working you have to take a step back and look at what you are doing :D
