  • i don't think that eating cooked food would take a shorter amount of time to eat than fruit.  If you run out of time to eat during your lunch break you can easily eat fruit at your desk as well!

I would recommend smoothies, bananas or dates as these food are higher in calories so you wont have to eat such a large quantity of food at one time

  • Bring a datorade, it stays nice for awhile, since I am still in school (I am on summer vacation now) but when I am in school, I usually just put the datorade in my locker until lunch witch is 10:00 am. (So it is basically my both breakfast and lunch) then when I come home I make myself a big smoothie witch is 2:40 pm. Then I have my cooked dinner at 5:00 pm.
  • When I'm at work I usually always bring dates with me because they're easy to snack on and you can get a decent amount of cals in from them. Smoothies are always good too since you can have them at any time whether it be before, during, or after your break.

  • Thanks for the tips everyone :)

It just seemed like 30 minutes is a short break to down all my calories. I need the energy since I have a pretty intensive job. When I'm at home I take all my time to eat or drink my yummy fruits :)

  • Make smoothies and drink it on your desk :)

  • I steam cut up circular chucks of sweet potato.

They store well in the fridge, are delicious cold or re-heated and are easily transported in a container.

I don't need any condiments or toppings.

  • Hi :)

    FRUIT!

you can't get anymore simple than that!

    dried fruit as a backup.
