oh help ALL wise ones

So I love raw, I love and know how it makes you feel, I know it is the true cure to overall health and well being. so knowing all this why the HECK am I still eating cooked crappy foods? It is like I cant stop... all i can think about is pizza, Greek gods yogurt, and Starbucks. I know they are all bad I know they will never get me to feel good and loose weight I know all of the bad stuff so why oh please someone tell me why I'm still doing it? I'm super annoyed at myself for knowing what is RIGHT and keep doing what is wrong!!!!!!! Every night before I go to bed I say tomorrow is going to be great, I'm going to start out with a green smoothie and feel energized and bring fresh healthy fruits and veggies to work and feel good about all my choices and then..... tomorrow comes and I have my green smoothie, I bring my fruits and veggies I even eat them... but then I have Starbucks, or a slice of pizza or whatever..l. soooooooo annoying.. am I the only one with no will power out there? The only one that knows what is good, what I ultimately want but yet do everything the opposite so i don't reach my goals? HELP!!!!!!

  • thanks for the encouraging words dave ;) much appreciated :) i will take one meal at a time :) good way to look at it :)
  • i wish i could get away from all these foods... buttttt unfortunately i work at a grocery store... which as GREAT ORGANIC RAW FOODS for sure but also has the stupid pizza/greek yogurt / and starbucks right next door LOL... anyways i know it is all mind over matter :) i have not really looked into how many cals a day im eating since trying to go raw but maybe i will have to do tht :) thanks for the advise michele :)
  • what helped me was learning as much as possible about what was put on this earth for us to eat, what is actually in the 'foods' that we are taught and basically forced to crave, what these things do inside the human body vs how real food is processed

another big stepping stone in the process was getting over, accepting, and coming to value the feeling of being different than most ppl.. it is hard to accept that so many aspects of mainstream society are actually very far from natural and actually pretty damn destructive in many senses.. while you may feel cast aside at first, people come to truly respect you for the stance you have taken

lastly, EAT ENOUGH FRUIT lol.. this again goes with the mindsets of society, who pack one apple or banana with their lunch of a big sandwich of flesh and curdled milk and a bag of baked lays or order a tiny little side salad with their steak or plate of pasta.. come to realize that we have the digestion system to handle LARGE quantities of efficiently-digested food, not a single plateful of calorically-dense flesh food or processed chemical experiments.. don't be afraid to have a smoothie with 15 bananas for lunch or a meal of 10 persimmons.. you might get stares.. just smile and continue enjoying your sweet lunch

good luck solilli.. you're on a great path
    • thanks ryan... oh yes i love the stares of people that think eating good for you food is CRAZY!! That happens all the time to me which is kinda funny since i work at a all natural and organic grocery chain... but most people there are the most unhealthy eating wise i have ever met kinda funny!! I have been vegetarian ever since i can remember so my food choices have always been sorta odd to others.. dont really get that but whatever. I do get annoyed with them for wondering why would you eat that when you could have this... blah blah blah oh geeze got to love it
  • Bring a big bag of fresh fruit to work with you and don't leave work to go out for food. Go to a park and just enjoy your fruit instead.
