Tackling hunger throughout your day - Vegan Style

Hey everyone,

The name is Lee...I'm a college senior with a busy and sporadic schedule that went vegan during my Freshmen year and just want to know what everyone eats throughout the day for energy.

Feel free to share for everyone's knowledge!

I for one always take some Cliff Macadamia Energy Bars and Lara Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bars with me to slap hunger in the face for an hour or so.

  • I'm not really on a fixed schedule, as I go to online schooling, so I don't really eat on the go that often, but when I do it's usually just some fruit, a smoothie, a cliff bar, babyfood (banana flavor only pls), cereal (Natures path or Ezekiel brand usually), or microwave oats/rice with the entire sugar packet if there is one.
Honestly, if you have clementines/tangerines in season just bring a 2-5lb bag to school with you in your bag. Not too heavy, not too big, won't get stuck in the teeth, easy to peel, smells good, not too sticky, not easily damaged, not too expensive, pretty healthy, CARBS, etc. Most of the time I eat on the go I'll usually eat them, as it's a little strange eating 6+ baby-food containers all being bananas and having to tell at least a couple people how delicious it is, plus it's probably healthier, and cereal is just not the best nutritionally, and if it is I find it often has a little trouble digesting because of all the grains.
I'd recommend babyfood (or the clementines), you can find some that's made out of just bananas, even in glass jars, or in squeezy-toddler pouches for an even easier munching. Expect people asking you why you're eating babyfood though!
