The best place for living on a raw food diet

Hi guys!

I am a fully raw guy for many years living in Czech Republic(European Union). I work as IT specialist. In the nearest future I would like to move to the country with a warmer climate and bigger amount of fruits, because here in Prague we have a long winter and not so many tropical fruits. So now I am thinking about where to go. I have discovered this article http://www.fredericpatenaude.com/blog/?p=1917 with the TOP of best places for rawfoodists with some great places, for example USA - California, Miami, Florida, Hawai or Australia, but all these places are blocked for the foreigners and I cant see the way how to legally obtain working visa in these countries. In the Thailand there are no possibilities to work for the foreigners, but everything is cheap and this is a really fruitarian paradise. So there are so many fruitarian countries but all of them have its own limitations of living/working for foreigners. I am writing this post to find the same people like me who is searching for the new living and working opportunities in sunny countries without cold winter and lack of fruits. Could you please inspire me and show any possibilities? I will be happy for any messages from anyone. Feel free to contact me. Thank you for your attention.

With love and respect for all beings,

Dimitrij.

  • Im looking at Portugal, the Canary Islands, and South America, possibly Ecuador.

All depends on what you're really looking for though. City life, or something else. :)

  • Thank You.

  • How about Australia? Tropical Far North Queensland...wicked fruit, sun and fresh air :)

    • Hi Georgia, the request for professional visa is very expensive and there is no even a guarantee that I will obtain the visa. It's about $3,520 for a person plus a lot of other different fees. A whole process is very difficult :/ At this time I see the only way is how to live at any place independently is to work online. So now I am looking for the ways ho to do it. Look forward to find any guys who already work for themselves remotely. At this time I have no experiences but I think I could make websites and do other admin works online.

  • I'm from CA - USA and defintely recommend it. I don't think we are blocked to foreigners, I know I've worked with people who were on an H1 visa. I believe you can filter your job search to look for employer paid visa sponsorship. I imagine it's hard moving to another country and finding work, best of luck.
    • It's a paradox. I have some friends who want to leave USA and live in Europe, and I want to move to USA :-) Thank You for your tip. I will check it out.

  • Hey Dimitrij,

Do you speak szech/slovakian? So nice to see someone from that part of the world vegan and fully raw.

I am slovakian and been fully raw v 80-10-10 for over a year and love it!

    Where are you based now?

    • Hey Mica, I speak Czech also and I live in Prague, nice to meet you :)

      • Hi Dimitrij, Mica,

I lived in Prague and Bratislava for about ten years.

I agree that the long winter limited the number of fruits and vegetables available especially towards the back end of winter.

I would think that South East Asia is a great place to live, not only has a got a wide range of fruits and vegetables to choose from it's a fairly cheap place to live.

Maybe you could work and save money for six months and then live during the European winter in  South East Asia.

  • If you are European you could check out French oversea departments (French Guayana, Reunion) where its possible to live as European without problem. If you have some cash saved, i would recommend to you as well tropical africa since its not very far from Europe and has great fruits.

Than there are already communitys like Rawtreat, Terra Frutis etc you could join, where you could live quite cheap, espeacilly if more and more things are planted ;)

South of Spain and Canary islands, Italy, Türkye i think are great for living on fruits as well.
