The New Vegan Image

it's getting there.. vegans are beginning to become known for people that are fit, healthy and thriving, rather than the anaemic weakling stigma that has been attributed in the past.. this october's Men's Journal article, their guide to going vegan and the article linked below are giving the vegan diet some really good recent press

  • Yeah...go Wolverine, this kind of public figure with ties to the kids and us former kids who follow the X-Men is awesome news to spread the word of a vegan lifestyle
    • yea it's a shame they had to throw that in there at the end huh?
    • i'm getting a bit fed up of those 'nutritionists'
      • Whats the odds the nutritionist cant even run around the block at pace? Yet Brendan Brazier is a National champion at 50km. :)

'Well its not for everyone.. especially those of us that like to sit on the fence and never really say or do anything that has a resounding benefit for the entire planet..'
        • If I remember correctly, Brendan has become very high raw in the last years. In think he once mentioned 90% raw, but not completely sure.
  • No way Hugh Jackman vegan?!?! That's fantastic!
    • Thats really cool.
      • Having now read the article, its interesting to read that 1% of people in the US class themselves as Vegan. 3% Veggie.

Veggies have reall given us a bad name over the years, its good that sports people of note are beginning to realise the myths are untrue.

How long till the 100 mtr Olympic champion is Raw??
        • Carl Lewis was the first vegan gold medal olympian from the US.
          • are you sure dr?
i thought edwin moses (hurdling) got there before carl.
i recall he was strict veg, but could be wrong on that.

            in friendship,
            prad
