  • Sure you can add it to your food to spice it up and make it more interesting but good approach to food is: when you can not make a meal of just this one ingredient (monomeal of garlic or ginger) you probably are not the right one to eat it.

The thing is these food have a lot of toxins (which make them taste special) and very low nutritional value. The warm feeling you get from them is partly from very aggresice particals that it contains and partly from you body fighting it and trying to eliminate it as fast as posible. And it raises body temp. The same as with fever. Although some people find it beneficial (especially those who undereat and are cold all the time) it really is not.

  • I love it, I can give up garlic and onions no problem but don't tell me I can't have ginger.  Even though It's not a good staple food on it's own a little as a condiment sure makes a large meal of cooked starch go down smoother with less bloat.  A little ginger added to blended drinks can be super delicious, I don't see why you shouldn't include it in your electrolyte drinks.

    • right? before i went vegan a friend of mine introduced me to ginger honey crystals we added to our various teas. It added so much kick in such little amounts and it cure the congested feeling right up.
