Unable to eat most raw fruit.. help?

I've been vegetarian for 14 years and vegan for 5 years. I have never been able to handle raw fruits (which has been sad); I get pins-and-needles in my throat, and have had throat closing reactions to nearly all uncooked fruits. I have seen allergiests for this issue and have been told I had a mast cell disoder (eg one day I can drink coconut water and the next I have a throat closing reaction and thats how it is with most fruits) however on allergy testing I am not allergic. My body craves fruit and all through the day my mind says it wants sugar. It's to the point I get low blood sugar levels and pass out. Can anyone find any recipes with my restrictions?

- Garlic *true allergy 

- Coconut (big one cooked and not cooked)

- Bananas (big one cooked and not cooked) 

- Peaches (sometimes OK raw always OK cooked) 

- Starberries (sometimes OK raw, blended and steamed OK most of the time) 

- Oranges (huge issues) 

- Mangos (sometimes this is one of my fav fruits too) 

- Pineapple (Can only eat if steamed or slightly cooked) 

- Grapes (lightly steamed and blended is OK)

- Apples (only if juiced and blended or cooked) 

- lettuce (chronic nausea)

- Brocolli (steamed is OK; no raw)

- Raw peppers are OK. 

- Nuts (cooked is OK; not raw)

- Cucumbers (no issues) 

- Watermellon (no issue); no issues with most mellons.

- Dragonfruit no issues 

- Raw peas (no issues) 

- Carrots (no issues)

- Ginger (no issue)

- Dates (no issues)

- Jackfruit (no issues).

- Pickled beats (OK)

- Most raw herbs are OK 

- Advocado (sometimes swelling issue) 

- Nori (no issues) 

- Tofu (is OK if i dont eat more than 2-3 times a week). 

- Sweet potatoe (Only OK if steamed) 

- Squash (only slightly steamed and blended)

- Calliflower (only steamed) 

- Brown rice (I can't handle white rice)

- Sunflower seeds OK

  • It sounds like there are a lot of fruits and vegetables you can eat, whether raw or cooked. I think large mono meals are always ideal. Write a list of foods you can eat and interchangeable substitutions.  If you can't eat raw lettuce, try steamed greens such as collards, kale, or non starchy vegetables. Eat more steamed fruits.  If you are having insulin resistance and nearly passing out, you are either restricting your calories or your diet is too high in fat. Decrease fat, increase carbs. Here are some great recipes. Modify them by substituting fruits, veggies, greens, etc for one another. I highly also recommend you buy their book. Eat more of the fruits you can eat and steam them if you have to, but really focus on getting your carbs up and your fat low.     • I think you misread it wrongly. I am not getting enough sugar and have low blood sugar levels. I do not get high levels. I haven't tried restricting my diet in volume and try to eat as much as I can. I do get chronic hives/ swelling/ nausea and my calories get restricted due to means beyound my control on days. 

  • Maybe just eat more of what you have no reaction to.. maybe after awhile your body will adjust 

    • I was asking for recipes within my limited scope of what I can eat. The reactions have happened since the age of 3 years old (and I still try them) so I don't think it's something I'm randomly gong to adjust to being able to handle.
