Was the griraffe Marius killed and fed to lions who were killed only a month later?

I have come across that video clip: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=684898254902078 From 1:00 it tells the story of the giraffe Marius who was killed in the zoo of Copenhagen and later fed to lions. It also states that the lions who ate Marius were killed only a month later to clear space for a new lion. That is the first time that I hear that. Have you heard of that so far? Can anyone confirm that the lions were killed? Thank you!

    I have no problem with them killing the giraffe if it was going to die or not have a way to survive anyways...but killing the lions to make room for a new lion seems pretty weird....
