its a good and valid question
Well, unless you're there to greet every passer by and explain it more, most people's gut response is going to be protecting their unconscious bad habits. So they will brush it off in a joking manner so they don't have to think for a second. I find appeals to emotion like this in trying to convince people of anything in this passive manner is ineffective.
Well, it's passive because it's at my home. I want to leaflet in one or two weeks. Do you think leafleting is inefective?
That's awful. I think people are just immature and don't know how to respond so they make a joke out of it.
