Single 23yo Male Big Island Hawaii

What the heck Ill give this a shot. Even in tropical island of Hawaii it is hard to find raw vegan lovelies.

My name (that I gave myself several years ago) is Eden. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii for the past 3 years, and have been working a 1.5 acre piece of land that I purchased 2 years ago. Clearing old weed canopy trees, planting wide range of select varieties of tropical fruits, including durian, cempedak, marang, white sapote, black sapote, surinam cherry, oranges and other citrus, coconut, jackfruit, avocado, lychee, egg fruit, abiu, akee, mangosteen, sapodilla, longkong, jaboticaba, , bananas and papayas ;)...

My typical days out here are usually working the land, relaxing, exercising, climbing cocos, going to various key forage sites for fruit :), going to the ocean, hanging out with my next door neighbors and friends GaiaYoga Gardens community, going to different gatherings and events on the island, grafting and propagating fruit trees. I love taking care of the fruit trees, and get alot of joy out of walking around the land watching them grow. My other interests include running, biking, yoga, meditation, and being Joy.

I love everyone, but I find it difficult to try and engage with non-vegan in a deeper relationship, mostly cause my interests are in fruit and growing fruit, and I would love to be with someone that also enjoys these activities :), I love it. Bordering on obsession lol, but a healthy obsession ;).

Im very care free, living simply, much gratitude for the unfolding that has happened in my life, I truly wish for others to make the move out here, or somewhere tropical and get back to their roots: living in nature 24/7, eating fresh foods, getting plenty of sun, etc.

OK then, well peace and Aloha, give me a jingle if you are making your way out here.

gonna go dig into super deep red fleshed papaya, oh man

  • That sounds fun would love to be able to see the ocean a second time and even then maybe swim in the ocean for the first time!!! Woofing sounds like a great way to live I would like to try it eventually!!
  • You're living my dream!! Especially now that there's very little affordable fruit in the winter. And it's cold. I would do anything to be able to feel the sun on my back and to see the ocean again! :D

  • Absolutely amazing. You are living my dream.
The quality of fruit around me in England at the moment is just rubbish. i keep buying melons which are just tasteless and being so disappointed.
I'm just in awe of your life. I often go on google earth and just pine over the tropical locations. To have the warm ocean at my toes and the sun on my face... awww it would just be bliss.
How did you get to where you are now? x

  • Hey there! My name (that I gave myself) is Cloud. I live an ocean away in California! Did you grow up in Hawaii your land sounds rad! How did you come to do that? Do you work for money? I have been sooooo looking at transitioning to a more off the grid lifestyle. Somewhere with a forest of some kind and a beach. Right now Hawaii is not feasible so I've been checking out like northern CA/Oregon/Washington. "

Your days sound so rad and awesome. I'm down to look forward to a life of working for what I need and READING I'm about to start reading everything I can get my hands on. I:'m realizing how much I've been missing out on, not reading my life. I was liked reading when I was a kid but my parents told me it was lame and I believed them But as many of us are, I am a different person now! Time to crack em open!

I just started really living this lifestyle about 6 months ago and every day I get further and further into it. Some interests, some recent, running, yoga, reading, learning about myself and the world I've been ignoring for the past 22 years of my life. 22 on flag day.

I see nothing wrong with your "obsession" but I don't know you! So... maybe there's something wrong with it... ;)

Not much unfolding of my life right now but I can feel it, it's happening, right freaking now. I am so glad that I can be so energized and clear to witness it and feel it. Still learning, not a pro... it's a journey and I don't regret anything that I do to "Slow" myself down. I am moving forward and thats what matters.

Peace and Love out there bro, make it count

  • hi you sound very interesting but I am not in Hawaii , I am in the Bahamas cause I would love to come and hang out with you and eat some of that sweet papaya yum!!!!

    • I would love to meet ;)

  • Hey Eden,

Currently I'm living in the Northern Sierra Nevada finishing up my associates. After graduating in December I am planning on doing several years of work exchange(WOOFing) though. Hawaii is definitely on my list. I love fruit. people, animals, sunshine, and adventure! When I start my travels I'll let you know.

  • Oh how I envy you! I'm single, 19 years old, and am living in michigan and going to college. I would LOVE to be growing fruit trees and just LIVING :D maybe some day I'll be able to move somewhere more tropical. Do you love living in hawaii?
    • i love it. I do have moments where I wish I lived in ultra tropical country like thailand or indonesia...but my home is here. I do plan to travel in the future to SE Asia and get durian fix... One day I will have these fruits around me in more abundance, as it is over there.

I did college for a year and decided it wasnt what I wanted to do, and boy what a chunk of money that one year cost!!! could have gone to planting more fruit trees hehehe

    • I'd love to visit hawaii some day-I've never tasted any fresh tropical fruits, but I've heard wonderful things about pineapples fresh from hawaii ;)
Yea I don't really mind college because I don't know what I really want to do with my life and I'm afraid that if I don't have a degree I won't be able to support myself financially...how do you do it?
