Canned/Tinned Fruit

Hi everyone. This is my first post and even though I am raw vegan I am fairly new to HCLF. I was just wondering if anyone knew if tinned fruit is ok to eat? I know Harley mentioned it in a video but I can't find it anywhere :/ I'm sure he said that fruit in syrup was the one to go for. I would obviously rather have fresh but it's not always an option when travelling.Any advice or info anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

  • I used canned fruit when I first started this lifestyle, and as a result, my triglyceride level when way up. The doctor said I was getting a "sugar overload." So I switched to fresh fruit and now my triglyceride levels are at a low normal. I believe that part of the reason for the sugar rush in canned fruit is that the fruit is not raw, but cooked, and so, it digests much faster.

    I had similar thoughts myself. Obviously fresh stuff would be best but I won't feel guilty now about having tinned if it's my only option :)
