green alternative

Hi everyone

Every now and again I just dont feel like eating a huge salad. But the other day as i wandered through the fruit and veg shop I suddenly had a craving for green beans! I love green beans and can happily munch my way through half a kg plus no worries. I just checked out there nutrient value and they score pretty high against lettuce so now I will happily add these into my greens rotation as a staple. Easy to take in the car with me and munch on the road too! http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2341/2

Are there any downsides that anyone can point out to eating green beans as opposed to green leafy veg?

  • That sounds good to me, too! They are seed pods, however, not greens; leaves are greens. Don't go too long without eating some leaves. I think putting them in your rotation is very smart. I'm going to follow suit and order some in next week's box! Thanks for the inspiration.

  • I can't think of any down side to eating green beans too.  I think we all go through periods when we desire to change a few things.  Enjoy the change!  Also thanks for that great web site.  I did some exploring and like it very much.
