HELP my nose is shiny

Hahaha. For as long as I can remember, my nose has been very very shiny! I have tried close to everything, but so far only compact powder has done the trick (which I'll have to reapply the entire day through) BUT now that im avoiding make up I would really like to hear about your experiences with these kinds of issues? ....preferably make-up free

Even if I dont apply moisturizer to my nose, it shines. I used to use oil-free lotions on my face (mostly avoiding the nose area) but it felt somewhat sticky on my skin, so a cpl of months ago I started using almond oil for the purpose, and its so much better for my face! I can really recommend this for all of you babes! - I use it all around in the evening, but in the morning I will only apply it to my cheeks and forehead, avoiding the eyes and nose area.

thanks in advance,

with peace

  • i use dr. bronners on my face and body and ive notice it does help because when i use a natural cleanser it becomes shiny again. Sometimes though i pat it...

  • Hi so this might not help you specifically but I don't use moisturizers or lotions after I shower...

For starters I use a jojoba oil (which is actually a natural WAX! google it!) based skn cleanser, its organic and contains no weird chemicals and naturally cleanses your pores (i work at an animal shelter and get  VERY dirty every day so yes i do need a cleanser lol)

Following that I use pure/raw/organic jojoba oil (again its a natural wax in oil form...) and just gently massage it into my facial skin and dab it around my eyes.
It decreases wrinkles, its cleanses the pores and help keep out foreign yuckies.
best part is its shiny and fun when you first put it on and after maybe 45 minutes the shine turns into a lovely glow and simply doesn't have that shiny/greasy look...

I've been using jojoba oil for just about a month now, my pimples have decreased (although i'm thanking my food choices on that one), my skin always has a sexy tanned glow to it, it is moisturized and cleansed naturally so i don't feel any nasty thick residue or anything like with petroleum based lotions or mineral oils (for darwin's sake don't use mineral oils ahhh!)

I'd suggest giving it a try, you only need 2-3 drops of jojoba oil for your entire face (including your nose!) and hands.:)
