I'd like to hear your opinion about going grey. I've been coloring my hair since I was 20 and I'm tired of it. I try to use gentle hair color, but it's still not 100% natural. I tried henna once, I didn't like the result (and even my pee turned deep red).

Is it too early to go grey at 42? I love silver hair, but mine would be more salt and pepper, deep dark brown with lots of grey by the temples, and much less every where else. I'm afraid if I stop coloring my hair I will look much older than I am, but at the same time I'd like to live a completely natural life.

What's your thought?

  • I don't colour it

  • I've been using a brown henna from Light Mountain Naturals that makes my hair look more like its natural brown color than any toxic, synthetic dye I've used.  Where the grays are, it makes it look like light brownish-red highlights.  It was a bit cumbersome the first few times I did it, but well worth it knowing that I'm not exposing myself to unnecessary toxins.  I'm not yet comfortable letting myself show all my gray yet, but I'm sure I will at some point.
