Women's intimate hygiene

Hi Girls!

I have been searching 30BaD for a similar topic but I haven't found antyhing.

Is there a way to get rid of initimate hygiene product? I have been using a very delicate one for years but recently I have found out that even this one causes some irritation.

Maybe there are some herbs infusion that we can use instead of farmaceutical products?

Any ideas/experience? :)

  • Agree just use water. Or white apple cider vinegar (1/tsp per quart of water).

for lube you can get ones made from seaweed - carageenan

for your period you can just use natural fiber cloths rather than the plastic pads

  • It may seem strange to receive a reply from a male on this issue, but I have helped many female friends during their transition to a raw food diet and have learned quite a lot by doing so. From what I have read and learned from many female health practitioners, it is best not to use anything more than water to cleanse the insides, as there is a natural chemistry and balance within that shouldn't be tampered with. Most women experience either a complete temporary loss or significant lightening of the menstrual cycle while eating a raw food diet for long periods of time. Cramps disappear and only light spotting may occur. Many women stop using absorbent liners/ tampons completely. If necessary, a diva cup, sea sponge or liner pad may be used to absorb a light flow from time to time. Often this drastic change will cause a woman to worry that she is somehow damaging her system and will not be able to bear children. This isn't the case though, as many raw food women have gone on to become very healthy mothers. I do not know of any 80/10/10 based books that address these concerns extensively, but there is a raw food book entitled Primal Mothering that focuses on the female experience on a raw diet all the way through childbirth.
