  • Perfectly normal; happened to me too. I have/had dermatological related issues that came with my detox, (hair loss, acne,) at 2-3 months and it's still going on now sometimes. I keep it 811 now rather than lower fat and protein, and I'm being easier on my grains because I notice that my face is alot clearer without them. :) I do not wash my face with anything except water; and I use a Clarisonic skin brush to exfoliate my face about 2times/week. I hear baking soda is also a great exfoliant, and I plan to try this soon.

    • hey thanks for replying! im so glad im not the only one! so you mean your skin cleared up after the 2-3 months? What do you currently use for your skin and what did you use when it broke out? Also did you have any other detox symptoms?

    • No, I have not cleared up fully yet. :( Sometimes it starts looking like it's going to clear up altogether, but it teases me..Most of my acne are just tiny little fine bumps in large groups on my forehead. I have heard of an "Acne face map /chart" (find this on google) but I'm not sure if these meanings are pure hogwash. Worth it to look into. :) I don't use anything for my skin except water. I splash with water in the morning and at night I VERY GENTLY "scrub" with a SOFT* washcloth. I use a Clarisonic twice a week for removing harder to reach dead skin cells. I find that I break out more when I eat rice, which is kinda occasional, so I've been having more potatoes instead of rice to see if this makes a difference. My acne used to be bad on my cheeks at 2-3 months, and cleared mostly at 4-5. If only I could get the forehead acne off. :{ Don't worry, your skin will heal and be sure to keep flushing with lots of lemon and ginger water! :) Other detox symptoms I had not related to dermatological symptoms were emotional moodiness (extreme crying for no reason) (ridded 3ish months in) and minor headaches/tension behind the eyes (not related to salt). I ALSO keep getting yeast infections (I've had 3 right before my period is supposed to come, for 3 months now). Before the yeast infections, I was unable to maintain self-lubrication when my partner and I got intimate. Luckily that healed well. I think that all about sums it up for my body! Haha :)

**Keep in mind,I was raw, and am now Rt4. I have NO suspicions that cooked food aided in my acne, the acne came on raw foods. You are flushing out the yucky stuff from your past, so detox signs are bound to happen anyway. Please do not let someone tell you cooked foods = poor health; however I DO endorse an extremely high raw diet, and I only eat cooked dinners for financial reasons.**

    • I get it on my forehead mainly too, Ive only ever had the occasional pimple or two on my face in random places (after breaking out during puberty) and now my skin has just erupted! Im sure its all detox from the chemicals I've put on my skin before this and what I've been eating. My skin too will clear up and then breakout, and yes my hair seems to be shedding more, which is a bit of a concern because i love my long hair!

Ill try that way of cleansing my skin, thanks :) Im getting the emotional stuff too but its more mild and less extreme than what your describing, as well as the headaches and tension behind the eyes on and off.

Im sure you are right in cooked food not making it worse, is that you experience overall? i just feel sometimes if i do eat a cooked meal of rice r potatoes (its winter here! ) my skin flares up a bit and i feel worse. Not sure if I've just been made to think cooked food is the worst or what!
