Digestion and brain fog

I do rawtill4 but have digestion and brain fog issues. My normal day would start with 1-2 l water, 0.6 l fresh made citrus juice then a fruit smoothie with bananas and berries. Dinner would be potatoes or rice. Potatoes cause very sluggish digestion, poop is like glue! And rice causes brain fog, similar to what I get from grains, cashews or coconut milk. Very difficult to think or concentrate. It feels like mucus in the back of my head. I eat no oils, quite low fat (avocadoes and chia), some salt because otherwise I feel dizzy and light headed with all the water and fruit. Total water 3-5 liters per day, calories 2500-3000, can't digest any more than that. I've been testing all kinds of non-30bad stuff as well like sauerkraut and herbs to kill bad gut bacteria. Any tips?

  • If those cooked foods don't work, then don't eat them! What about sweet potato? Corn? Oats? Steamed vegetables, lentils, etc.

    • +1 I don't eat them either for the same reasons but I def love me some sweet potatoes

Don't micromanage your gut flora. Essentially you are self-prescribing antibiotics. That is either to be used in a severe acute situation or a stupid thing people do that don't understand the human microbiome. It is self-regulating. Eat food that digests well (you can find an option that works for you I promise) and question everything.

  • Have you had your B12 levels, iron, etc. checked?

    • B12 is very good, iron is low. Doc suggested another more accurate iron test but I couldn't afford it.

The problem is that practically everything I eat causes some kind of problem which is a sign of dysbiosis (?). I also feel very cold, have dry skin and feel like i'm getting a flu and fever on too many days so I can't train as much as I'd like.

    • Vitamin C consumption before eating cooked or vegetables increases iron bio availability

oranges or orange juice before meals might help with that

when i eat cooked i rarely eat my greens ... i just don't feel like it

if this seems familiar try eating your greens anyway ... should be worth a try for a week or so ;-)
