Reading through the entire Bible

Hi all,

I've been munching through my beloved KJV for the 15th time recently and I was just reflecting on how much a blessing it has been to read through the entire bible. The person that led me to Christ instructed me to read through the whole bible at-least once; which I did & found it to be such a blessing I haven't stopped! 

Psalm 119:105

King James Version (KJV)

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

One of the great benefits I have found from doing this is you allow the bible to speak to you itself without somebody's opinions getting involved, which in turn makes you less susceptible to false doctrine. Also I have found this quote from Dwight L Moody to be quite true: The bible will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from the bible

So if you guys haven't read through it yet I would really encourage you to go for it! or if you have then please don't stop now but keep going!!! - I'm hoping to crack the big 20 this year.

    wow you have certainly read the Bible alot. I am in the process of reading through my Bible fully for the first time. I became a christian 7 months ago. I like : The bible will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from the bible. It is so true! Keep strong in Jesus, Gordon.

      Yeah eating High Carb  really helps your body out alot but reading the bible puts things in the right perspective: job 23:12

      Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
      Galatians 5:

      22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

      23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

      24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

      Definitely. All the good healthy foods in the world can never give LIFE like Jesus does.
