how far you've come vs how far you hafto go

Hi everyone! :)So a little about me.... I never was taught nutrition from my parents or school. So I pretty much shoved my face full of whatever food was "yummy" and ate whenever I wanted. I'm now at a weight which I'm not even comfortable sharing with anyone. Since I've gotten the internet on my smart phone (3months ago) I've looked into diets etc. Then I started a job last year where my boss was teaching me about 801010..... I've been self researching it to make sure it was safe and I have absolute NO doubts that it isn't! :)I quit smoking 3 weeks ago, I don't drink, and I've also kicked the horrible habit of soda 3 weeks ago as well. Only water! :)With my weight the only exercise I can do is walk or weights. So I chose walking, and I've been having a smoothie of 7 bananas and 10 frozen cherries with 1 tbsp of chia seeds and 16oz of water for breakfast then for lunch I'll have a salad fie lunch but it doesn't quite fill me so I eat.... and eat and eat and eat lol. Then for supper ill have salad again..Tomorrow I'm starting the 30 day smoothie challenge and I'm picking up my 40lb box of bananas!!!! :)Is bananas for breakfast/lunch and dinner okay for 30 days? Thank you!!!!! :)

  • I think when you are starting out on this lifestyle anything is fine.  Bananas all day long for ya :D.  But if you live in a place where you can get variety then I would encourage you to try out lots of new fruits and veggies along your journey.  Discovering the wonderful taste of different whole foods is one of the most rewarding parts of this lifestyle!  Congratulations on making your health a priority!  Looking forward to hearing about your progress.  Keep us updated :D

  • Hi Sweet Love, Thank you for sharing your story. Your plan sounds good to me. :-). I am 48 and my metabolism is a little slow at the moment so i am not sure how much fruit I'll need. I am not approaching the 30 Day Smoothie plan with any goal of how much I will consume. I am just not planning to restrict at all. I have found in the past that when I am raw and I allow myself to eat as much fruit as I want when I am hungry, until I am no longer hungry, I lose weight. I never overeat whole fresh fruits. My body is very intuitive about it. All the very best to you on this journey and congratulations on your achievements so far!

  • Oops sorry stupid auto-correct that was suppose to say no doubts that it is safe! Lol thanks again :0
