My favorite bananas from Whole Foods have been coming in green for weeks now. When I leave them on the counter, they take way too long to ripen. I tried putting them in a paper bag and it didn't speed it up at all-they just ripened at the same rate.
Any suggestions?

Hae you put a cut up apple into a banana bag? Seems like it'd rot prety quickly
got any ripe tomatoes or apples? even avocados? throw them in the bag with the nanners or place them in the same area as the nanners...
I threw an apple in the bag with them and it didn't seem to speed things up. Maybe I'll try some avos...
