Hi

As I read the vitamin d supplements has more side effects....

I experienced them... Some side effects will take place progressively over several months..so it may more hard to notice.

Sun is vitamin d is best source  ..moreover the sun has other benefits beside vitamin d.

IF you live far away from equator, I'm questionning if could store  some vitamin d reserve  to prevent a big drop in winter..like you are out in sun  at least 1 hour daily during summer..... is it enough reserve for the winter?

Thank you to share.

  • How many times a day you urinate?  Do you Wake up during night to urinate?

    thank you to share..

    • I do not count how many times; it varies. I do a lot of running and I have to always remain well hydrated without overdoing it. My urine is always clear. All components of my recent urinalysis were normal.

If I wake up in the middle of the night, then I go to the bathroom. Might as well, I'm up anyway. If I don't wake up, then I still never wet the bed.

  • 6000 IU could be safe for you..

but could try to to stop 6000 IU during some weeks and check if you notice   you have less urination  a progressively  after you stopped 6000 ui of vitamin d3?

     and keep me update..

    Thank you

    • No need to stop my D3 supplement; I feel fine and it seems to have worked well. Coincidentally, I just had a Vitamin D 25-OH test today. When I get the results, I will adjust my dosage if necessary.

    • Vitamin D 25-OH - 65.3 ng/mL (reference range 30.0 - 100.00 ng/mL). No need to to experiment with adjusting my dosage. It will remain at 6000 I.U of D3 Cholecalciferol each day.

      By the way, I live at 40° 34′ 16.69″ N.

  • I live far from the equator and I am outside running for at least an hour every day, year round. When I got the vitamin D 25-OH test I found that I still had a deficiency. I have been taking about 6000 I.U. of D3 Cholecalciferol for several years with no side effects.

    • I forgot to mention that I got squamous cell carcinoma from too many years of "soaking up the sun".
