  • Hey i live in vancouver too im 17 it'd be so fun to know someone who's into high carb veganism!! i'm not fully raw though just raw till 4 :) its so exciting to know that there are other high carb vegans in vancouver but it sucks i dont know any of you yet lol :)

  • Hey Jessenia, im in Vancouver too, 19. Id love to meetup sometime! :)

    • Hey Monika, Welcome to the group. Pardon me but I scanned your profile and saw that you are in need of help with salad dressings and such. Have you ever user balsamic reduction on your salad's? Ever heard of the brand Nonna Pia? They are from Whistler and it is super good. Expensive though but worth it! No fat..just awesomeness. Hope this helps.

  • me too jessenia. only 4 days. the first day i did it cold turkey. (pardon the other life pun no disrespect to turkey's) i had so much gas from the the candida coming in to eat up the excess sugar till my pancreas caught up. all is will that quick. just having a little hard time with  worrying about all the fructose on my teeth and keeping the fat down to 10 and under.

    • Wow ! That's awesome. I love hearing people's journeys. Have you done any vloging on your journey ? I hope you all the best on you're rawsome journey !!
  • hi jessenia,

how is your 811 journey going? have you been able to purchase enough fruit? My tip is to befriend the produce manager at your local big chain grocery store. if you buy a box of bananas, you'll get 10% off, so usually works out to be around 30-35 dollars as opposed to 40 dollars if you just bought in bunches. you can even ride home with the box on your bike handlebars...it's possible!  if you buy over a certain dollar amount at a grocery store, often times they even have a delivery service so great option if you are carless.

then I save a banana boxes and create a "banana bookshelf" to ripen the bananas at the right speed. if you want them to ripen quickly, leave a whole box untouched for three days in a warm place (20'c), then take them out of the plastic and box, remove all the plastic and space them out into 4-6 bunches per cardboard box, stack the boxes on top of one another to create your bookshelf, then the gas from the ripe one will ripen the others. works a charm.

    good luck!

    • Thanks Ben !!

I've found a pretty awesome price for bananas at a wholesaler warehouse $15.00 for a case of organic bananas. Thanks for the advice you've been helpful ! :)
    • Hi Jessenia,

I just joined the 'club' and was looking for some good deals on produce. Which wholesaler do you go to?
    • Hey Jessenia,

Could you let me know where the wholesaler warehouse is? I need some banana and dates :)

      Thanks!
