Goal to Lean out From Skinny fat to Lean.

So I think this is the best place to start a blog.

I joined "Your body is your gym" , Mainly as a place to track down my progress. And share information and ideas, since I am sure many people joined for similar reasons. To use the human body as a tool to gain muscle and work the body to the limit.

I am very excited to start working out again, and having more stamina, strength.

So Starting off:

I have always consider myself skinny fat, weight fluctuates, 122-125

height: 5'7

age:23

Goal: Lean out. I dont care about my weight, just visible results.

Diet, Fresh Fruits and greens.

This fall and winter,

I will do mostly bananas, papayas, apples. Dates.

Whatever else is in season.

Here is my recent pic.

Haven't posted much online. But I am still working out.

    Mostly cardio, and some yoga.

Might start adding different natural movements as I am doing some research.

Wednesday will be the day were I will be working out to the max.

Thats all for now. Going to bed.

  • Che,

Sounds like you're getting plenty of varied exercise and doing an excellent job of keeping healthy.

I do currently do very little myself, 30 minutes running, interspersed with push ups (3 sets of 20), pull ups (2 sets of 5) and then finish up with toe-touches, trunk-twists and sidebends as well as the standard post-running stretches.  I was suffering from sciatica quite a bit after I started running regularly last year and this combination of touches, twists and bends - all done from standing position - made all the difference.  I recommend that you review your program to ensure that it includes something similar.

So I saw in my blog that I messed up.

"Did not work today, so I had no excuses and plenty of time to work out"

I meant, Did not worked yesterday.

I also had today off, and I had a very good time with my workout. I did the routine of monday.

I knew I would be going to the beach and do some sort of workout.

Did not expect to climb up a set of stairs that leads to Blacks Nude Beach.

With a rugged terrain and different steps, it was a reminder of how out of shape I am. Going down the stairs was easy. Going up was a different story.

It was a good day though. Got some sun, fresh air. Went to the Farmers market, picked up some cantaloupe and fresh baby greens.

Got to spend time with my boyfriend. Who is also eating a low fat raw high fruit diet.

Tomorrow, running the coast, or maybe the bay. And will be doing the next set of exercises.

    :)

Did not work today, so I had no excuses and plenty of time to work out.

So I did, Alternative back lunges,

    Romanian Dead Lift,

    Squats

    Swimmers.

3 sets each with 6 reps. I will increase the reps in a couple of days. Even after working out the first day, I feel stronger. And I feel good. I can imagine what it will be like in the next weeks to come.

Later before school, I went for a run on the beach in Pacific Beach.

It is connected to Mission Bay. The long coast makes it ideal to run. Probably ran 1/4 mile non stop on the sand. And I walk back in the water. Even though it was cloudy, it was perfect.

Today I will most likely do the same.

And I will do the next workout in the book.

I am also going to be adding swimming soon.

  • Thank you!!

    You been to California?

    Measurements: 35-26-35 Inches

    I forgot to add measurements.

For my first day of body workout, yesterday, I focused on my upper back and arm muscles.

3  sets of pushups- I elevated on my futon bed.

3 sets of a version of a pull up on my door. Holding on to the door knobs.

Seated dips, holding on to my futon.

    Pull ups,

    2 chairs and a broom

I dont have any fancy equipment, and all of these workouts are from a book called "you are your own gym"

    By Mark Lauren.

I also did a workout in which my friend had done for me a while back.

    Jump Rope 10 minutes

30 squats, hold for 10 sec each.

2 pound weights and punch air- 5 min

leg raises, lying on the ground.

    Bear Crawls.

There was more, but I will add those on later.

I am just starting with the beginners section as I rarely if ever do any pushups or pull ups.

My grip is strong, but it is only because of my job, I am a dog groomer, I do a lot of lifting. Holding on to huge driers. Very active throughout the day.

It does not do much for me though.

Today, is off to the beach, and I am going to do day second of this routine that the book has, plus adding my own variety of body weight.

    • Calves 13 inches

      thighs 20 inches

      9 inches on forearm

      10 inches on upper arm

Went to the farmers market today. Bought a couple of melons. Went to OBs Organic Food Coop bought alot of bananas. Even though I have bananas already, I have to keep rotating.

    Food intake

    Dates

    Grapes

I forgot to keep track of calories. But I did eat enough to sastify my needs.

    Workout.

    Starting slow

4 mile hike on the coast of Torrey Pines. Sand added a bit of unstable ground, it worked out muscles such as calves so on.

Went to Blacks Beach Nude Beach.

I mainly want to incorporate natural movement into my workouts.

    Planks for 2 minutes.

I will add a workout routine  tomorrow which a friend of mine has made for me. Lets see how that goes tomorrow.
