I first went vegetarian after reading the book How to go Further (an excellent book written by actor Woody Harrelson) and the book Skinny Bitch a few years ago. I learned more about the food and meat industry then i expected. But it was one sentence in Skinny Bitch about the animal torture in the meat industry that did it for me...at the time. I went back to eating paleo some of the time. It wasn't until recently, with watching Freelee and Durians youtube vds that I went on to eating vegan. I found that I have to see and hear the truth on a regular bases, no matter how much it hurts and however long it takes to keep far from supporting animal cruelty. My tastebuds and a fleeting moment of pleasure are not even close to being worth it for the sake of our fellow beings lives. No way! No how! Besides, it's unhealthy. For me it's mostly about our lovely animals we are to care and look after. We are responsible.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are...

I got rid of my tv a few years ago. I had been thinking about it for years. When my kids were young we would take time out from watching tv for a month or two, a couple of times a year. One night when I was coming home late at 3 a.m. I noticed that most of the homes I past were glowing with a tv on (people can't sleep without their tvs and I was one of them). I didn't want to live that way anymore. I now read more and play with my dog more and spend more time with friends and family, excercising or playing games. I sleep a lot better too.
