Hello! My name is Adriana, I'm 18 years old & from the Dominican Republic. All my life for as long as I can remember I've struggled with my weight. I started becoming really chubby every since I was 6 years old, just another kid who really liked candy and soda! When I was 9 my mom made me go to a nutritionist to get on my very first "diet". I actually did good in that diet and lost about 14 pounds in 3 months, which was pretty noticeable to a 9 year old. I kept the weight off until I was 11. That's when I transitioned to a new school. The enviornment was totally different than what I was used to and I guess that created a lot of anxiety for me so I just started eating, eating, and eating.. All the junk I could find. From then on it has been nightmare. I become really motivated for a couple of weeks, then totally devasted and depressed for the following couple of months and spend my days in my room doing nothing but eating... A lot of crap. This has been going on for YEARS. I just graduated high school this summer and I'm looking to grow more as a person from the inside out. I want to become whom I've always wanted to be. A strong, healthy, active, independent woman. I'm not going to college (yet) since I want to break into the film industry and be an actress. In order to be an actress you need a lot of self confidence and presence... Which I used to have, but now my insecurities just kill me and do not allow me to do what I love or be who I truly am. I've been seeing this vegan lifestyle for a couple of years now and to be honest at the beginning it just sounded ridiculous to me. And it was ridiculous that is was ridiculous to me since I've never been a huge meat eater. As a kid up until my early teens I'd rather have pizza, pasta or french fries than steak... Not saying that any of those are the healthiest, its just that they were not meat. As I grew older I started seeing every where, in all magazines, tv shows, etc people talking about how you need to eat MEAT/FISH and all that to be lean/fit/sexy. So that's what I started doing. I cut ALL carbs from my diet basically and just ate meat/egg whites/fish... Did I lose weight? Yeah maybe a little. Did I gain it back again really quickly? Heck yes. Most times even twice as much as I'd lost. Point is, from spending this past whole year researching on the high carb vegan diet, there's no doubt that if done right, IT WORKS. I can see from those who've done it that they don't just look better, but they FEEL better. They glow from the inside out. And that's how I wanna feel like. For the past 5 years I've just felt so dull and with no life at all... I want to be/feel alive again. Shine with my own light. And what better way to do it than by eating all the most delicious food in the world in the quantities that I want?! I've showed my mom Freelee's videos and she's now more supportive than ever of me trying out this lifestyle. I'm going to start with the 30-day Raw Till Four Challenge see how it goes. I'm both nervous and excited! :

The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?

Kay so my main concern right now is exercise/working out. I just started out with a trainer and I've been loving working out lately. You guys recomment to workout before breakfast however my workouts are pretty intense (aeorobics, weight lifting, cardio) so what happens if I have my breakfast after my workout?
