I was a vegan about three years ago before i fell into an eating disorder. I didn't know anything about the vegan life or eating raw till four, nor was i interested in the loving your body and the holistic approach that raw till four veganism encourages. I was in a downward spiral in life until finally i went to a clinic that helped me get into recovery. When I came to Boston this fall for University, my boyfriend and I decided to do the paleo diet because i had read up on it and thought it was doable but on the Paleo diet, I was never enthusiastic to eat meat and i always felt hungry but restricted at the same time. I fell back into my binging and purging ways, not understanding why I can feel like this but still be eating foods that were so "healthy" and "high in good fats" and "naturally right for the human body since the dawn of time." I was craving something fresh, carby, and sugary but i didn't know the answer. I've been following a HCLF vegan workout guru named Christine Salus on YouTube for a year but only doing her workouts. However, i was able to listen to some of her What-I-Eat-Wednesday snippets and it just clicked to me that no matter what, nutritionally, people will always have an argument to say what is the best diet. I came to realize that I need to first find out what is the best way of eating for ME, and not try to follow every one else. I came across FreeLee on YouTube and some other high carb fruit eaters and instantly fell in love. I've always loved fruits, vegetables, and carbs much much more than meat. So, I finally had the guts to start my journey and even tell my boyfriend, room mates, and closest friends about it because it doesn't seem dangerous or eating disordered at all. I'm excited to see how this works for my body and for the support of the community!

The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?

I'm currently a student living in Boston, which is a stark contrast with people living in tropical areas where fresh fruit is easier (and cheaper) to obtain, and quite frankly, more comfortable to eat. If there's any help to ask for, it would be how to live this lifestyle while i'm on the go, keeping in mind the weather, having classes, and having a budget. I also do not have a car which means I have to either walk or use public transportation. How can i make this easier? Also, I'm confused about what type of exercise can be done with this. Is exercise needed at all? Another thing, will the impulsive feeling of binging on junk food ever subside? (eating disorder remnants)
