  • Good question Beth. We have lived all over house sitting in this area. If you want ultimate XC singletrack then the only place is Nerang. Its suburbia with a massive xc park alongside.

Mullumbimby is the market we hit each week for boxes of cert organic bananas. Really good quality. 2.50kg

Murwillumbah is excellent road riding with both hills and flat and old skool country roads with not much traffic and plenty of different loops.

We live beach front now in Kirra but going to Radelaide for summer as the cycling and trail running there is the best in the world IMHO. ENDLESS options with simple Radelaide lifestyle and some good fruit shops and foraging to be had. Best training groups too.

Don't rate Lismore. Too much cattle farming and desolate IMHO. Alstonville similar. Mullum and murbah get my thumbs up if you want full on chill country life with decent roads and some good fire road networks. Mt Warning is a great climb too. Ive got the strava KOM for that one. ;)

raw fruity vegan scene is non existent in Australia really. The cashew butter crowd is bigger. ;)

  • Hi, I found it very nice to meet you too! Do you have enjoyed NY-city?  Hopefully we see each other next year back and we can meanwhile keep in touch.
I Miss America already for the tasty tomatoes :-D  Next time I stay a month so that I can see and eat something more :-P

    Xx
