I'm a vegetarian living in NY who believes in trying almost anything once. I have been a vegetarian for 2 years with limited amounts of meat 4 years before that (It was never appealing to me). I became a vegetarian partly because of some health problems and now want to work toward becoming a LFRV. I have one more year till college so I want to kick start this lifestyle so as to hopefully stay healthy during my transition from home to college.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are...

I love reading fantasy, YA and crime books. My favorite authors are Tamora Pierce and Sharon Shinn. I love musicals and singing. One of my favorite movies is Phantom of the Opera. I am currently trying to relearn how to hula hoop and try my hand at running ;-) or I guess legs.

I would enjoy learning more about how to get the right amount of calories, where to get organic fruit at the best price in my area, and events for people with similar interests.
