  • Heya, Liana, Happy B-Day!

Haven't seen you in here in a month o' Sunday, so I hope all's well.

Still taking names on the tennis courts?

Give your mum my best too, aight? :)

  • I know your mom doesn't spend much time in here, but I'm very glad to hear she's still thriving. Does she by any chance go by WittleHeidiMae on Dr. D's vegsource forum? I see that name much more often there...
  • Great to hear you're still walkin the walk and enjoying the results. Your peeps may not be ready to believe it, but they can't deny scoreboard, eh? ;-) I invite you to jump on our fitness thread sometime. We'd love to hear about your training and successes!

How's your mom's health journey progressing, BTW?
  • Happy B-Day, Liana! How goes your tennis?
  • I started about 2 months ago! I love it and feel great!! When did you start?
I don't know anyyyybody expect my boyfriend who has even heard of 80/10/10, let alone be accepting of it. It is great to meet u :)
  • hey :) yea, I got to Franklin Pierce University...its in Rindge, NH. Maybe you have heard..we have alot of NJ kids here! Where do you go to school?
  • Hi Liana~
College, yes, I know how difficult it is. When I attended, there was nothing but the greasiest foods staring me in the face at all of the cafeterias. I ended up gaining fifteen pounds back then. Thankfully that came off but with horrible diets and too many consuming thoughts about food. Now I am happy that I don't have to obsess about calories and I get to eat pretty food! When everyone else is developing digestive problems, you can be happy to know that you are doing something positive for yourself. I wish I knew that back then :-)
  • Liana..

You have presented many great points, Liana. We can influence others, however, it is extremely difficult to change prejudiced minds of most of the people including family members. I have tried that countless times; and not succeded enoughly. Changing of skin-tone due to fruits and disappearance of blemishes on face...these are real changes, and I have felt them since so many years of eating fruits. I choose fruits as morning breakfast all the time, depending on the availability of fruits, of course. Playing tennis make you move, and increase your metabolism and exercise your muscles, which in turn, enhances your beauty for sure.

Very good point you made is that other people have observed sentiments of happiness and positivity coming from you. And, that's number one reason to stay on course. May all of us continue on this mission of eating lots of fruits and be disease-free.

You said you used to eat creamy souces and soups? Would the cream not be fatty enough? It's good you're not eating them any more.

How do you continue motivating yourself?

Peace and Joy, Beauty and Bounty...
  • Sound's like you're on an awesome health path already, Liana. There's plenty of great athletes here for you to help fine-tune your already high level of playing if you like. Robby Barbaro is also a good resource as I know his roommate does not share his exact eating habits (at least not yet ;)
    Take care
  • Thank you, Liana for your uplifting and motivational comments. it is simply fabulous when family, exspecially parents support this journey. You must be so lucky, as 95% of the people do not seem to be supported by family and friends in journies like this one. I am glad you joined this. What benefis and positive effects have you experienced so far? What was your diet before? I am lacto-vegetarian since birth; but as far as raw is concerned, it is 50-60%, as it's so difficult due to social and family pressures unlike you. I love fruits; and try to eat as much as I can, though they can get so costly. What are you majoring in? You should be proud of your beloved mom and she would be proud of your kind and sweet self, too.

    Peace and Light, Liana.
