  • yeahh i don't like to push it on ppl.. through experience i've found that it makes ppl uncomfortable and almost feel 'challenged' sometimes.. but yea i hear ya on the superfoods etc.. when using them i never felt what they preached about them and no doubt crazy expensive

this summer i've been buying most of my food from farmer's markets and farmstands.. a lot of watermelons lol.. can get big 15 pounders at farmstands for around 5 bucks and even at Wegmans for $3.99.. great deal for a full meal, but they won't be around much longer.. also been buying a lot of heirloom tomatoes, grapes (from supermarkets) and greens like romaine and spinach (supermarkets), all organic.. once wintertime comes if i'm around i'll probably turn to buying boxes of bananas again and a lot of citrus

see if they're bigger stores around you like wegmans or shop rite.. they carry a good amount of organics and will usually get you cases if you ask.. also asian markets carry some good fruits sometimes and offer good deals (tho usually not organic).. hong kong market on rt. 18 is pretty good.. in the fall/winter i get cases of apple-bananas of of them which are awesome

but if you like them (which i can't see how you couldn't lol), you should order dates from The Date People in CA.. tell them i sent you over.. they're just coming into season and they're fantastic and calorically-dense.. my favorite variety that i've tried so far are barhi dates.. they taste like caramel
