A poem present I wrote for my mums Birthday

Im not a big believer in buying & giving too much 'stuff' to others so this morning with this is mind I thought id write mum a birthday poem/letter which money can't buy..... Its not a 'rhymy' one oh actually towards the end i get into it :-D Mum A vibration of love an awareness of truth having wisdom to follow but courage to lead A guide emerges in times of growth my values are met with the lessons you teach a board of advisors through your lips of acceptance an ear of compassion that supports my flow... Overcoming death with your commitment to life Defying the odds.....you return to thrive there was light once more & you embraced me again I held you so close, it is never the end A powerful example of truth you live a vibrant existance with the energy you give inspiring the masses by just being aware spreading seeds of love with the passion you share... I'd thank you through my eyes...if I was only there & tell u of this love i feel but you know my heart is present now we have a unique embrace...its very real I love you mum from a place of mystery a deep sense of connection that logic denies thankyou for being the light on my path I love you forever, you are infused in my heart Lovefreeleaxo

Yes I think keeping a scrapbook of favourites is a good idea...
    • I agree it is just beautiful, and a scrap book is a great idea.
  • Hello, I actually thought of you as I wrote this, its from deep in my heart for both of us Neety, my mum and your mum too..... We do have a special connection x
  • We should have a poem thread! Hmm...well mine are kind of deep, so this may not be the place...
  • ...so much better than a $4.95 card that you scribble "Happy Birthday" into...nice Free:)

    Lucky mom;)
  • Beautiful :) Mums rock. xxx
  • You are an amazing writer, Freelea! This is absolutely amazing!
  • aww..
    • Your mum has read this and was really touched by the sentiments so often I think I haven't done a very good job of the most important task in my life-to raise children well and then you are there to put my doubts to rest. There is so much more to say but I am not blessed with poetic gifts, I can just say that giving you to the world is a blessing to all(even though some will never recognise it), so I must have done some small thing right. And by the way I am only 58, looking forward to more for my sixieth.
      Love Mummy
