Hi there, I feel like these questions may have already been asked, but I can't be bothered to search the forum for the answers :)

Anyway, after a pretty high-fat week, I really want to try out banana island. I have never done banana island before, so I have some questions.

1. When I see other people on instagram and youtube on banana island, they often include other things like greens and dates into their banana island. I would love to include some coconut sugar, some greens, and maybe even some vanilla extract. What ware the limitations on banana island in terms of including other foods?

2. How long should I go on the island? I bought a 13 kilo box of bananas the other day, however I was hoping that I would be able to make them last a while. Would you say one or two days is enough to cleanse my body??

3. I am only 4 11', and weigh about 100 pounds. How any bananas would you say I should be eating?

4. If you have any useful tips for me, that would be greatly appreciated!

  • 1. Bananas, lettuce, maybe coconut water

    2. At least a week, so you'd need another 13kg box or 2.

    3. At least 20 medium bananas per day, eat as much as you can without discomfort

    4. Eat them whole rather than blended, at least to start with, it's easier on the digestion and keeps blood sugar levels lower

  • Hey Hayley. There aren't really any "rules" for banana island, but I'll try to give recommendations that I would follow if it were me doing banana island (which I'm actually going to do next week once my bananas ripen up).

    1. I'd say greens are very important so I would keep to to just bananas and lettuce, although you can eat the bananas, blend them, or freeze them for "ice cream." I personally wouldnt include dates, coconut sugar, etc. for the purposes of banana island, but it's up to you.

    2. Do it for as long as you feel. I don't think 2 days will cleanse your body, especially if you're new to this lifestyle, but will probably still do wonders for your digestion.

    3. Eat as many as you need to be satisfied. If you're new to it, you may have a hard time eating large volumes, but it will come with time. Don't forcefeed yourself just to hit a certain number of calories because that can actually harm your digestion.

    4. I think I hit the main points
