Cancer cells feed on fructose?

Hi all

I watched a video the other day where this old guy was diagnosed with cancer and given 3 months to live by several doctors. He went on a ketogenic diet and starved the cancer cells of sugar and cured his cancer.

If you were diagnosed with a cancerous tumour today, would you keep shoveling fruit down the hatch feeding the cancer fructose? Or would you try fasting/vegan keto?

Is this just a one off random case? Or do cancer cells really feed on sugar and are unable to feed on ketones like the scientist claim in the clip?

Thanks

  • First of all, chemo will kill you!  Statistically doing nothing will let you live linger with cancer than doing chemo.  I highly recommend reading John Robbins' Reclaiming Our Health.

Second this guy has given himself a break but now he is at risk of other disease, if he wasn't already.  Likely he was eating the SAD which is high sugar and high fat which will give one high blood sugar.  So he cut out sugar and then he had normal blood sugar.

Cancer cannot survive on an oxygen rich environment which is what happens in the body when eating low fat.  On low fat you get many health benefits including no cancer.

  • There is no clinical evidence to support that claim.
